Harry Basil is a prop-comic, Impressionist who sends up Hollywood Movies. With a trunk load of props that can fill a sound stage and the famous movie themes backing him up, Harry pulls unsuspecting audience members up onstage as his co-stars recreating and spoofing hit movies. Harry started his career at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, where he was spotted and hand picked by Rodney Dangerfield for the "9th Annual HBO Young Comedian's special". A close friendship developed between Harry and Rodney and Harry became Rodney's exclusive opening act for 17 years. Harry co-wrote five of Rodney's movies, including "Ladybugs" and "Meet Wally Sparks" and directed his last two including the critically acclaimed "The 4th Tenor". From there Harry went on to direct "Cloud 9", a sexy beach Volleyball comedy starring Burt Reynolds, D.L. Hugley, Paul Rodriguez, Gabrial Reese, written and produced by Hollywood legend Al Ruddy, Oscar winning producer of "The Godfather" and "Million Dollar Baby". Harry has since made the jump to the horror genre where he directed 3 horror films, to be released in 2007. "Fingerprints", a teen supernatural thriller starring Laguna Beach's -Kristen Cavallari, Desperate Housewives'- Josh Henderson, and Lou Diamond Phillips. "Urban Decay" a dark comic zombie film starring Dean Cain, Meat Loaf Aday and Brooke Burns. And the gothic Vampire tale "Soul's Midnight" starring Armand Assante. He also wrote and Ex. Produced the Chevy Chase comedy "FUNNY MONEY" which will be released in theaters Jan 11th, 2007. Besides Chase, the ensamble film stars Penelope Ann Miller, Chris Mcdonald, Robert Loggia, Guy Torey, Kevin Sussman and Armand Assante.
